Ardon Schambers

Ardon has over 40 years of professional HR experience, including 7 years establishing and operating HumancO Resources, before the company was acquired by Varnum Law to establish Varnum Consulting. At Varnum Consulting, he served as the Executive Director of the HR practice group until 2007. Prior to forming HumancO, he worked for world class companies including General Telephone, Bell & Howell and Steelcase, where he was the Director of Compensation, Benefits and International Human Resources.

Ardon has served on a variety of local and state level committees and boards associated with Human Resources issues. He has also held director and officer positions for a number of profits and not for profit organizations.

Jane McGrath

Jane has over 30 years of professional human resources experience, 25 of which was acquired at Spartan Stores, Inc., in various roles within HR, including employment, labor relations, compensation, benefits, HRIS, policy/administration and also serving on corporate reengineering and acquisition teams. Her final responsibility at Spartan Stores was Director of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS.

As a senior consultant with Varnum Consulting, Jane worked with non-profit, distribution, government, utility, and management clients. Jane is also a Certified Compensation Professional and has earned a SPHR from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Gail Hammontree

 

 

Gail is an accomplished human resources executive with over 30 years domestic and global business experience.  She began her human resources career with the world’s preeminent HMO, Kaiser Permanente, in San Francisco.  Her role involved every HR discipline with a series of promotions, to Director of Human Resources. She expanded her business experience as HR Director for Harvey’s Resort and Caesars Tahoe Resort.

Gail was subsequently engaged for the next 15 years at Wolverine Worldwide as Senior Director of Global Human Resources where she helped transform the organization as it grew through multiple global and domestic acquisitions.  Gail lead the areas of talent acquisition, organizational development and training, compensation and payroll, HRIS, labor relations, employee relations, safety and health, as well as the HR teams at the company’s locations around the world. Later, while Director of Human Resources Consulting at Herman Miller, Inc., she was the senior HR council to the leadership teams of multiple business unit presidents while directing staff of 30 HR Consultants around the organization.

Gail is a recognized thought leader adept at the development/deployment of HR strategies and tactics which drive organizational change and make successful companies.  She works closely with business leaders to operationalize their vision through proficient people strategies. In addition to being a highly effective business partner, Gail has strong knowledge and experience in successfully managing HR legal and regulatory compliance matters in a multitude of global venues including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mary Ann Sparks

MaryAnn has over 25 years of Human Resource administration and technical experience with a major Grand Rapids employer.  During her tenure she managed employee records for both union and non-union personnel which included the development of HRIS skills utilizing the PeopleSoft system while playing a key role in a multi-year, corporate conversion project.  Change management, workflow processes and user training accompanied her expanded responsibilities.

In addition, MaryAnn has been involved with manufacturing, real estate and mechanical service organizations which have broadened her scope of business software utilization including accounting applications, internet/web development, MS Publisher and Constant Contact.  Troubleshooter, problem solver and ‘go-to’ person aptly describe MaryAnn.
